About Us

We’re an athletic training facility. Rather than focus on isolated body movements or machines, we focus on functional exercise, athletic conditioning, plyometrics, kettle bell training, Olympic weightlifting, medicine ball and dumbbell training, power-lifting, gymnastics, rowing, running and jumping rope.

Through CrossFit, we look to optimize our student’s fitness at the broadest level — to increase their physical competence in each of 10 recognized fitness domains (Cardio-respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.)

The stimulus provided is always varied and the results are dramatic.

We have students of every age and every fitness level. The program works for anyone because everyone’s needs are the same. The atmosphere is friendly and open and has more of a community feel to it. You can train on your own or take classes — it’s up to you. We just want to see you walking through the door on a regular basis.

…Exercise Selection

In a nutshell, the exercises are:

Ground Based: Exercising in a standing positions
Most of the things that we do that require strength, balance and coordination occur while standing up. Most of the exercises prescribed at Fourth Power Fitness are executed in a standing position. This pretty much reflects real world tasks.

Complex: Exercising the entire body at the same time
Maximize the efficiency of the time spent committed to exercising. Multi-joint exercises that require the “core” to stabilize dynamic motions of the upper and lower body will produce the best results and in a shorter period of time.

Explosive: Exercising by producing forces through acceleration and deceleration
Training the body to be prepared for sudden movements will improve performance and decrease injury.

Functional: Exercising using movements that will enhance daily tasks
Improve the quality of daily living by improving motor skills through dynamic motion. Training like an athlete gives you the benefits of training like an athlete. You’ll be able to do more of the things that bring you joy in life.

Training Environment
